"I Did My Best" is one of those paintings.

Years ago, during one of the darkest chapters of my life, I found myself struggling not only with depression and mental health, but with the feeling that the world I had spent years building was falling apart around me. Dreams were unraveling. Relationships were changing. The future felt uncertain. There were days when simply getting through the day felt like a victory.

In the middle of that storm, I painted a simple message across a heart:

I Did My Best.

At first, those words were meant for me.

A reminder that my worth was not determined by success, failure, recognition, or perfection. A reminder that even when life doesn't unfold the way we imagined, there is honor in continuing to show up. There is strength in trying. There is beauty in refusing to quit.

Art became my lifeline.

Painting gave me a place to put my pain, my hope, my questions, and my fight. It transformed chaos into color and uncertainty into purpose. Quite simply, art saved my life.

Over the years, this message continued to evolve alongside me. Recently, after reconnecting with artists from around the world and rediscovering the passion that first inspired me to create, I felt called to revisit this piece—not as a reproduction, but as a rebirth.

This new release represents awakening.

It represents remembering why I paint.

It represents choosing creation over surrender.
